Doug DeMuro's review of the 2026 Bentley Azure is decidedly negative, scoring just 32/100, with nearly twice as many critical observations as positive ones. The car excels in design and material quality—it's an impressively massive two-door convertible at 5,900 pounds, built by Italian coachbuilder Pininfarina, with genuinely gorgeous high-quality materials throughout—and DeMuro acknowledges it captures the opulent excess of 1990s wealth display better than perhaps any other car. However, the Azure is plagued by poor cabin ergonomics (unlabeled window switches, oddly-shaped seat controls), sluggish performance despite its 390-hp turbocharged V8, and catastrophic value retention ($200,000 depreciation in three years from a $340,000 starting price), making it costly to own with unresponsive steering that requires six to seven inches of turning for any reaction. This is a car strictly for collectors willing to pay heavily for a rolling museum piece of conspicuous consumption, not for anyone seeking practical luxury or driving engagement.
